Northside High School, which opened its doorsto students for the first time on August 19, 2002, is Columbus'newest high school. Northside is a comprehensive high school whichoffers a rigorous college preparatory program, including bothhonors and advanced placement courses, and state of the arttechnical and career programs. Students in college preparatoryprograms have numerous opportunities to expand their knowledge basewith technology programs.Northside High School's academy program, Engineering andEngineering Design, is linked to the national program, Project Leadthe Way, and is an exciting addition to the courses offered inMuscogee County School District. Students enrolled in this specialprogram have opportunities to specialize in Engineering orEngineering Design. They are required to participate in communityservice and have many opportunities to participate in competitionsand extracurricular activities related to the engineeringfield.At Northside, the emphasis is on giving students a qualityeducation in a safe, supportive, technology-rich environment.Students learn goal-setting, time management, computer and studyskills that will enable them to be more successful in theiracademic and elective courses.We hope you will come by and visit us at Northside High School,Home of the Patriots!
